Bolivia is amazing! We arrived here around 6:30 a.m. and have already done so much. The director wasn't kidding about the altitude sickness. I think we all have constant headaches and for some reason walking up a flight of stairs with our bags felt like we just climbed a mountain, but this should only last a day or two more. The juice here is fantastic, I want to take it back home with me. The people here are so lovely, always eager to help! We had lunch with our director and teachers that we will have this semester. They all seem really excited to be working with us so I think classes will be great. Maria, our housing coordinator, told me that I am going to live with a mother, and her 20 and 10 year old sons! I will meet them on Friday for lunch and then go home with them. Today we also took a tour of La Paz, and were able to view the surrounding mountains. We ended in a cafe for a light dinner and I got to see the area my housing will be. I can already tell this is gong to be amazing. In a couple weeks we will have our excursion to Santa Cruz, Brazil, and Argentina! I cannot wait to see what tomorrow will bring!
